The Ink Spot is Now Golden Child!

The name “Golden Child” holds significant personal meaning. As someone who fell into the role of the black sheep in my family—immersed in graffiti, punk rock, skateboarding, and getting my first tattoo at 14—I always felt like an outcast. Meanwhile, my sibling was seen as the golden child. Over the years, through art, fitness, and personal growth, I’ve found the gold shining within myself.

I believe there’s a golden child in all of us, ready to shine through. Sometimes, body art can help us find that gold, transmute ourselves into something that feels more true, more authentic, more in control of our destiny in the world. 

That’s a feeling I want to share. I want to help more people find that beautiful, golden child within themselves.

This rebranding marks a pivotal moment in our journey as a shop. We’re expanding into a larger space next door in the same shopping center, adding 1300 square feet to better serve you. This new phase allows us to continue evolving, embracing an even higher standard of professionalism, and fostering a community for any who has ever felt like an outcast, and any and all individuals seeking to express their unique identity through body art.

Our new name also signifies our commitment to excellence and growth. Nearly 18 years into the industry, we are at a transformational period where we strive for more—pushing boundaries in our art and business practices. This change aims to weed out the old stigmas and welcome a new era of creativity, professionalism, and community.
