Katherine Parada is the absolute best! I’ve had 4 sessions with her in as many months, and have brought several family and friends back with me. We all LOVE the pieces that she’s done for us! In addition to being creative and highly skilled, she’s also really fun and easy to talk to. Every session has been enjoyable, and I always feel excited and proud to bring another loved one in to get tattooed by her. Kat takes the time to really understand the vision and heart behind each request, then works hard to bring that request to life! My tattoos are beautiful and have all healed well. They turned out even better than I was envisioning! I get compliments on them all the time. I’m already dreaming up my next tattoos and can’t wait to work with Kat again!

As far as the shop itself, Golden Child is clean, professional, and friendly. Every time I’ve come in, the owner and multiple other artist swing by throughout the session to check on Kat and on me, see if we need anything, and compliment the tattoo. Golden Child has built a little family, and it resonates in everything they do. Highly recommend!

Katelyn is super talented. I went in wanting a delicate bow with my daughters’ names, and she absolutely nailed it — the line work is clean, feminine, and perfectly placed.

And the vibe? 10/10. Everyone in the studio was so kind and welcoming. From the second I walked in, I felt comfortable and taken care of.

this was my 4th time in the past year getting tattooed by Melissa & I would have it no other way! She has tattooed both of my hands at this point & just finished my third largest piece I’ve gotten in 11 years & im obsessed. She is so easy to trust & I love her style & everything about the experience- it is so important to go to people you would recommend to others & I standby this & can’t wait for my next tattoo with her at golden child! 🙂

Josh did a phenomenal job piercing my 6 month olds ear. Patient, professional, hygienic, and really allowed us a safe and easy space to discuss the exact markings for her piercings. 5 months later and the piercings healed up very well.

We traveled from Arizona to Golden Child Tattoo and Piercing to have our daughter's ears pierced by Birdie and are so happy we did. Birdie is a professional who is an expert at what she does, and it is evident in her mannerism and show she manages the piercing experience. In addition, she's kind and a great communicator who explains what is going to happen throughout the process. Would 1,000% recommend her to anyone looking for piercings!

Okay guys this place is the best place everyone is so friendly and welcoming ♥️ I’ve been to other places and haven’t felt as comfortable as i did here 11/10🤩😏 I will be coming back fs ! I came with birdie to get my 23 month olds ears repierced and she was so patient with my daughter she was so sweet , My daughter did not cry much she felt relaxed as well You guys have to come here if your getting your kids ears pierced or just for anything they are the best !! This business was very professional; staff communicated consistently and respectfully, the establishment was clean and orderly, everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The design process was very flexible and my artist helped me get to an affordable design. She offered me plenty of breaks during my session and send me photos afterwards!! I will definitely be coming back 🙂

I took my 9 year old daughter to get her ears pierced with Birdie. It was a great experience! My daughter has noise sensitivity and Birdie worked with me to come in at a time that the shop would be quieter. She also had the music lowered without being asked. She was kind and patient with my daughter who was very nervous. 10/10!

Got 2 small tattoos by Kurt and he was amazing! Super quick, super efficient, and even added his own expert opinion in to make me feel more comfortable. He was wonderful and kept the price super affordable. Thank you guys! I’m definitely coming back.

I had not been tattooed in 27 years so to say I was nervous would be an understatement. I met Kurt aka tatzilla, he walked me through the process from design to tattoo day. He designed a one of a kind piece and I’m beyond thrilled with the outcome. He kept me calm during the session when it seemed like too much. He’s a professional at every level. Tattoo came out amazing, if you need world class work go ask for Kurt or tatzilla.

I went to see Birdie for piercings I have wanted for over 15 years and she made me feel so comfortable and walked me through everything. The shop is clean, courteous and I will be back for a tattoo and new piercings in the future!

I got my daith and conch pierced by Josh, and I’m so happy with them! Everything about the process was super quick and easy. I asked for his advice on placement, and I’m glad I took it. My husband also got a finger tattoo by Kristine! She was super friendly, professional, and attentive to what he wanted. Her line work is insanely perfect. The shop is clean and full of life, with good vibes and great people! Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to get a tattoo or piercing (or both, because why not??). We’ll definitely be back!

I had a great experience here with Kurt! He took on a super ambitious project on short notice and absolutely knocked it out of the park. He tattooed me for 7 hours straight and never lost his steam - he kept the vibe very calm, was great with conversation, and even took some brief pauses to help guide me through the process when the pain was getting to me. Fantastic artist, super nice guy; I’d recommend him to anyone and will definitely be returning to him in the future.

Got a line work vine piece done on my ribs by Kristine! Yes, she is family, but she did an incredible job on this tattoo! She designed it to flow with another piece I already had and worked w me to make it cohesive, organic, and elegant. Her linework is sharp and she did some shading to bring it to life like I wanted. Throughout the tattoo she was attentive to my reactions and asked how I was doing. I love the vibe of the shop and the people there as well! Made me feel welcomed and comfortable as some came around to chat yet also keeping it professional.

Kurt was great for my husband and I’s first tattoo! We both got thin lined wedding band tattoos. He had great service and was very upfront about any cautions we should take before booking.

I just got my LA Dodgers tattoo done by KURT, and WOW — it came out absolutely amazing! The funniest part? He is a huge San Diego Padres fan - yet somehow managed to pour pure Dodger magic into this piece. Talk about professionalism under pressure!

He listened to my ideas, added their own creative touches, and nailed every detail — clean lines, smooth shading, and a design that pops so much it could probably start a debate at a sports bar.

Even with our baseball rivalry, the whole experience was fun, relaxed, and full of laughs. If Kurt can make a Dodgers fan this happy, imagine what he can do for everyone else. Highly recommend — and yes, LET’S GO DODGERS! 💙⚾️

Josh deserves 10 stars for taking care of a piercing gone wrong from another studio! I walked in, nervous about what would happen to my piercing and he calmly and kindly took care of it, fixed it all up, gave great advice and did it all pain free! What an amazing experience! I booked my appointment online and I loved the way you could fill out your information, and give them a description and even a sketch or photo of your idea. They have all their artists portfolios online so you can pick your artist. I had 2 artist in mind and got paired with Kenzie who was 1 of the 2 I wanted. She texted me and coloberated with me to make my tattoo perfect. When I went for my tattoo she was friendly and prepared. She has a light touch and an amazing attention to detail. She didn't rush anything and my tattoo turned out perfect. Her line work is crisp and precise. This tattoo is special to me as it was to honor my mother who passed 3 years ago. All I can say is that if you want a tattoo or piercing this is the place to go! But don't book Kenzie cause she's mine! Lol just kidding, book Kenzie because she is amazing and you won't be disappointed!

We came in as a big group wanting tattoos on the same day and Melissa was so cool and fun to have had tattoo us. She was so patient with us and went from 12-8 with just one lunch break. She was welcoming and friendly and had such a good attitude about the whole day. I will definitely be going back to her the next time we are in San Diego.

We came to San Diego for TwitchCon as a group of 9 — all of us meeting in person for the first time after becoming friends through streaming and playing Fortnite together. We thought it would be fun to get matching tattoos, and I’m SO glad we found Melissa at Golden Child Tattoo!
I got two tattoos done by her and they are absolutely perfect! Her attention to detail is unreal and her line work is out of this world. You can really tell she’s passionate about what she does, and she made the whole experience so fun and comfortable.
Kristine worked on some of the others in our group, and even though I didn’t get tattooed by her personally, I loved watching her work. Her lines and detail were incredible — she seriously crushed it!
The whole shop had such good vibes — everyone was so welcoming that it felt like we’d all known each other forever. If I could give this experience 10 stars, I absolutely would. We’re already planning our next trip back, and we’ll 100% be booking with Melissa and Kristine again!
